Work-based learning and apprenticeships have been identified as a central element to support young people to make smoother transitions from school to employment. These apprenticeships were usually organised with physical presence of the apprentice in the location of the company. The covid19 pandemic has presented a significant disruption of education and training across Europe and has made the organisation of physical apprenticeships increasingly difficult.<\/p>\n
There was a greater realisation of the need the apprenticeship system to adapt and offer more training virtually. However, nobody from the main actors involved (VET institutions, companies, intermediary organisations) was ready to support this transition and
as a result the impact of covid19 to apprenticeships and work-based learning was tremendous.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The general objective of the project is to build the capacity of VET actors (VET schools, Companies, intermediary organisations) to use effectively digital tools in order to organise online apprenticeships.<\/p>\n
