ELORIS SA is the VET organisation of the North Aegean Region which offers post-secondary vocational training (ISCED level 4) to the inhabitants of the region. It is also the Company for Research, Education, Innovation and Development of the
North Aegean Region. The company was founded at 1995 by the Government of the North Aegean Region together with the Regional Association of North Aegean Municipalities. Those two public bodies are the shareholders of the company until now.<\/p>\n
ELORIS SA has a twofold scope: Firstly, it aims at the capacity building of the general population of the islands belonging to the North Aegean. Secondly, it aims to implement development projects and initiatives for these islands. During
those twenty-four years of activity, ELORIS SA has implemented numerous projects either with national funding, or with founding from the European Union. The basic areas of expertise include:<\/p>\n
1. Development and implementation of continuous vocational training programs in various thematic areas like tourism, environment, sustainability, entrepreneurship, IT etc.\u00a0<\/p>\n
2. Human recourses management\u00a0<\/p>\n
3. Activities aiming to promote social inclusion and equal opportunities to vulnerable groups (migrants, refugees, Roma)<\/p>\n
4. Participation and implementation of EU Programs and Community Initiatives<\/p>\n
5. Development of Transnational Cooperations<\/p>\n
6. Provision of Consultancy Services<\/p>\n
7. Promotion of Regional Development and Sharing Economy.<\/p>\n
